What Jinseva Receipts does

Nine areas make up the product. This page says what each is for and how they depend on one another; each links to a page describing it in full, including what it does not do.

How do the parts fit together?

Three things have to exist before a receipt can be issued: an organisation profile holding your registration details, a published receipt design, and the reference data a receipt is recorded against — at least one donation head, donation type and payment method. A newly registered organisation is created with all three already in place, so the first receipt does not wait on setup.

Everything else builds on the issued receipt. Delivery sends it, verification proves it, reports count it, and the audit log records who did what to it.

The nine areas

  • Donation receipt management

Draft, optional approval, issue and void — with a numbering series you configure, duplicate warnings, and rules about back-dating and future dates.

    Donation receipt management
  • Receipt templates and the visual designer

Lay the receipt out on its own sheet from a component library. Versions are published, and a published version is frozen onto every receipt issued against it.

    Receipt templates
  • Delivery, download and printing

Email the PDF to the donor, or download and print it. Every copy is recorded, with a retry schedule and bounce handling on the email channel.

    Delivery and printing
  • WhatsApp receipts

Send a receipt from a WhatsApp number the trust links itself, with the PDF as a document and your own wording as its caption — automatically on issue, by hand, or asked each time.

    WhatsApp receipts
  • Public receipt verification

A QR code on every copy opens a public page stating the organisation, the donor, the amount, the date and whether the receipt is still valid.

    Receipt verification
  • Donor records and reference data

Donors with a PAN-first tax identity, PIN-code address lookup, and the donation heads, donation types and payment methods receipts are recorded against.

    Donor management
  • Reports and exports

11 reports over your own issued receipts, each stating what it counted, exported to CSV, Excel (XLSX) and PDF, with a history of past exports.

    Reports and exports
  • Authorised signatures

As many signatories as your trust has, a grant list per signature deciding who may print it, and the signatory frozen onto the receipt at issuance.

    Authorised signatures
  • Team, roles and permissions

Email invitations, a configurable Member role granted permission by permission, and an append-only audit log behind all of it.

    Team and permissions

What a new organisation starts with

Registration copies a starting configuration into rows the organisation owns outright. Renaming one of them describes your own accounting and changes nothing for anybody else.

Donation heads
The purposes money is given for. Each carries whether receipts under it may claim an 80G deduction.
Donation types
How the gift is classified, including whether it is corpus — which Form 10BD reports separately.
Payment methods
How money arrived, including whether the method is cash, which the daily collection report splits out.
Receipt designs
Two published receipt templates: an A5 counterfoil and an A4 sheet. More designs are available in the designer, and you can draw your own.
Receipt numbering
A series starting at 1 with four-digit padding, resetting each financial year. The prefix, start number, padding and reset are all yours to change.
An owner account
The person who registered holds the Organisation Owner role, which carries every permission, and can invite the rest of the team.

Stated plainly, so you do not find out later

Three things this product is regularly assumed to do and does not.

  • No statutory filing. Form 10BD and Form 10BE are prepared from your own receipts and are explicitly not certified as conforming to the current statutory schema.
  • No SMS. No SMS provider is connected; receipts reach donors by WhatsApp, email, download or print.
  • No online payments. No payment provider is connected, so a plan can be chosen and an invoice raised but nothing is charged through the application.
